Technology in the classroom

This new generation of students has certainly introduced the use of technology in our classrooms. This curious, demanding and active new generation needs prepared teachers who can wisely make the most of a topic through the use of new technologies.

We, teachers, are not used to including this kind of stuff in our lessons; sometimes because we do not count on a computer or wi-fi connection, but sometimes the reason is that we simply don’t know what to do or how to do it. And this last reason cannot be accepted nowadays in a world surrounded by technology.

It is true that some teachers manage better than others or like it more than others, but we should all know how to include technology in our lessons. I consider that we should be specially trained on the use of technologies in our classrooms, we need to be provided with the necessary tools to become ‘e-teachers’ in a generation were children spend more time sailing on the internet than playing with toys.
